Friday, October 23: Free Country Show at Prairie Meadows

What: Iowa singer-songwriter Ted Stockton covers all your favorite country tunes above the main casino entrance. Must be 21 or older to visit Casino Level 2.

Wednesday, Oct. 28: Altoona’s Business Trick-or-Treat

What: The Altoona Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Local Business Trick or Treat! Come explore local businesses and get some goodies on the way. Booths will be spread out for social distancing, masks are encouraged, and groups will be allowed to enter in intervals.

When: Wednesday, October 28th, 5:30-7:30PM

Friday, Oct. 30: Altoona Community Trick-or-Treat

What: For one night, all the goblins, ghouls and ghostbusters walk the neighborhoods. (Please practice CDC guidelines and be respectful of those around you. Even Michael Myers knows to wear a mask.)

When: Friday, October 30th, 6-8PM

Every day: Thanksgiving with Prairie Meadows at AJ’s Steakhouse

What: Take a seat at AJ’s Steakhouse and enjoy a premium 3-course meal, with favorites like slow-roasted turkey, truffle risotto, butternut squash bisque, and sticky toffee pudding with pistachio ice cream.

When: The menu’s now available at AJ’s, but you’ll want to make a reservation online.

What: Take home a classic Thanksgiving dinner from Prairie Meadows. Dinners are designed to feed 4 to 8 people, featuring staples like roasted herb-butter basted turkey, whipped yukon gold potatoes, house-made pies, and much more.

When: Order now through November 19th at noon. Curbside pickup is available Thanksgiving Day, November 26th, 11:30AM-3PM.
