About the CORNival CORNvoy

The CORNival CORNvoy is a parade of 20 customized six-foot corn cob sculptures sprouting up across Altoona this summer (think Herky on Parade or CyclONE City, but “cornier”). Artists were selected earlier this year to decorate their own individual statues, which will be unveiled to the public on July 4 at Haines Park after the annual parade.

Following the unveiling on July 4 the sculptures will remain a city-wide showpiece of public art for years to come. The sculptures will be placed at destinations around the city, being brought together multiple times throughout the year for celebrations such as RAGBRAI in late July and Altoona Palooza in August. Details on the CORNvoy’s locations will be shared on the city’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as on the city’s website.
