Altoona’s Fourth of July Parade

Come out to 8th Street on July 4th to catch Altoona’s Fourth of July Parade, hosted by the Altoona Area Historical Society! The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Venbury Drive and will travel east on 8th Street to 3rd Avenue SE, where it turns north and disperses. After the parade, join us in Haines Park for an unveiling of the CORNival statues.

The Prairie Meadows All-American Extravaganza

Prairie Meadows has a weekend full of fun ways for you to celebrate freedom—and for FREE, too. Catch live horseracing, an outdoor concert by Gimikk, and a spectacular fireworks show on July 3rd, all for FREE! After working up an appetite all day, head to AJ’s Steakhouse—they’ll be open until 11 p.m. Then, on July 4th, enjoy even more live horseracing and an exciting Independence Day Swipe & Win promotion!
