HORSEPOWER WEEKEND —
FESTIVAL OF RACING
Join the horse racing fans at Prairie Meadows July 8 & 9 for Festival of Racing. Watch and wager as the top Thoroughbreds from across the nation compete for more than $1 million in purses. Post time is 6pm.
While you’re cheering on the horses, Prairie Meadows has you covered for delicious trackside eats. You’ll love the summertime classics like cheesy fries, nachos, and cotton candy from Homestretch, or the fan favorite blue margarita with street tacos from Furlongs. Both are go-to spots and located right on the track apron, so you never miss the action. If you’re looking to reserve the best seat in the house, grab a table at Champions on Level 4. You can enjoy the races with a full view of the track, place your bets, and dig into delicious food.
ENTERTAINMENT
Every Friday and Saturday night, Prairie Meadows hosts FREE live entertainment in the casino. Stick around after the races for variety group, Groove Incorporated’s performance Friday night, and music duo, Hudson Road on Saturday. Unfortunately, the kids can’t stick around for these shows, as you must be 21 or older to attend.
MUSTANG CLUB CAR SHOW
The horsepower doesn’t stop with live racing! On Sunday, July 10, Prairie Meadows will host the Mustang Club car show at 3pm. Come check out the classics while you enjoy local food truck favorites, Hotsy Totsy with their creative tater tot dishes, and crispy, salty-sweet popcorn from Jeff’s Kettle Corn.
