Jethro’s in Altoona offers a fresh take on steak

“Off the Menu” is an Altoona restaurant feature sponsored by Elder Corporation.

The philosophy behind Jethro’s is that one should never have to choose between quality and quantity—especially when it comes to steak.

As steak superfans, this is a philosophy we can get behind.

In this week’s Off the Menu, Steve and CJ from Elder Corporation visit the famous Jethro’s ‘n Jakes Smokehouse Steaks in Altoona, Iowa, where they sample some of the restaurant’s award-winning dishes. The pair even gets to try Jethro’s cold-smoked NY Strip. This special steak is smoked at 35 degrees (compared to the usual 210) to lock in the juicy flavor, and you can only get it at Jethro’s Altoona location.

Bonus: Did you know Jethro’s is also famous for their tasty State Fair Lemonade? #Yum 🍋
